Welcome to my official page!
I am an Assistant Professor at the Madras School of Economics, Chennai. My training has been in the economics discipline. Research areas that primarily interest me include economics of global climate change, economics of adaptation, environmental economics and development economics. My interest is to empirically examine the various environmental and developmental aspects surrounding the issue of climate change, with a focus on developing countries using applied econometric tools. I am also interested in related fields of inquiry in economic philosophy and economics of sustainability. My doctoral research work has analyzed the impacts of climate change on Indian agriculture, focusing on the rice crop. I have also been involved in research work concerning the distributional issues related to climate change. I was a Young Scientist (YSSP) at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in 2012.
