Programme on trade and Environment
Programme on Trade and Environment funded by Ministry of Environment and Forests from December 2006. 
The objectives of the Programme are: 
  1. Provide technical inputs to the preparatory process at the MoEF in the area of trade and environment, in particular, items under negotiations in the WTO and other multilateral, regional and bilateral trade agreements. 


  2. Examine the linkages between trade and environment with special reference to the priority sectors of the MoEF, and 


  3. Assess the likely impact of proposed changes in the WTO policies in the affected sectors and suggest suitable strategies and policy recommendations. 
The expected outputs are:
  1. Quarterly report of the activities.
  2. Two working papers per year. 
  3. One case study every year. 
  4. Two Dissemination papers. 
  5. Creation of a website on Trade and Environment.
